Features
- Caford Castor wheels are made using pure nylon for long lasting strength and easy rolling across carpet and flooring with a smooth surface.
- Select the fitting attachment that matches your your furniture or equipment:
- Square Base Plate: suited to furniture and equipment with a thin timber, flat board and metal mounting surface with insufficient depth for a castor and stem system to fit.
- Push-in Stem | Grip Neck: for furniture with tube or pipe legs or furniture legs and frames with minimal mounting space and a thick timber base to secure the socket connection.
- Circlip Fitting: A steel rod with a circlip ring also referred to as a retaining ring provides a very secure hold and additional support against lateral movement.
- Threaded Stem: Available in 3 different thread measurements, providing a secure attachment to a thick timber base. A key benefit of the threaded castor fitting is that removing and replacing castors is easy if necessary.
- Imperial 3/8 BSW Thread: Screws into a matching 3/8 new or existing insert nut, tee nut or rivet nut of the same 3/8 thread size.
- Imperial 5/16 BSW Thread: Screws into a matching 5/16 new or existing insert nut, tee nut and rivet nut of the same 5/16 thread size.
- Metric M8 Thread: Screws into a matching M8 new or existing insert nut, tee nut and rivet nut of the same M8 thread size.
- Sockets can be purchased seperately if required. Castors are also available complete with connecting sockets for attaching to furniture, nuts or screws - refer to the "Associated Items" tab.

Screw Plate Fitting:
- Type: Square base plate for screw fastening
- Application: The square swivel base plate attachment is suited to furniture with a thin flat board, timber or metal surface where a castor and pin stem system cannot be fitted.
- Plate Dimensions: 38mm
- Hole Diameter: 5mm
- Distance Between Hole Centres: 27mm
- Compatible Components*: 8 gauge screws for mounting the baseplate to flat board and timber surfaces.
Grip Neck | Push-In Stem Fitting:
- Type: Push-in grip neck pintle stem #7
- Application: The perfect solution for fastening castor wheels to tube furniture legs on desks, tables, and trollies with minimal mounting space or inserted into furniture and equipment with a thick timber base.
- Compatible Components*: #7 Pintle Sockets
- Round Nylon Sockets for Tube: Product Codes N5, N6, N7, N4, N10, N3, N13, N15 and N17.
- Round Nylon Sockets for Timber: Product Codes N5, N8 and N2.
- Square Nylon Sockets for Tube:Product Codes N1, N9, N14 and N18.
- Metal Grip Neck Socket for Timber: Product Code C730
Circlip Fitting:
- Type: Circlip 5/16" diameter
- Application: A very secure way of fastening castor wheels to chairs, tables, shelves and trollies with minimal mounting space or inserted into furniture and equipment with a thick timber base via an exisitng furniture socket.
- Compatible Components*: Metal N11 timber socket and Nylon N24 timber socket
Screw-In Threaded Stem Fitting:
- Type: 20mm threaded stem
- Application: The main benefit of castors with a threaded rod or stem is their ease of replacement by simply unscrewing. Typically used to fix castor wheels to timber furniture frames on sofas, chairs, beds, and table legs
- Compatible Components*: When replacing existing castor wheels, please enusre the connecting nut in your furniture has a matching thread.
- 5/16 Thread Screw-In Castor = 5/16 Texcert | Insert Nut with Flange, 5/16 bsw thread x 20mm long
- 3/8 Thread Screw-In Castor = 3/8 Texcert | Insert Nut with Flange, 3/8 bsw thread x 20mm long
